All Dolled Up

Today I got to dress Amelia up for her first time to church. She looked so stinkin' cute! I love having a girl to play dress up with!

Big Brother

Brennan loves being a big brother! He loves holding Amelia and giving her lots of hugs and kisses. It has helped having my mom here this past week to give him plenty of attention that would lack otherwise.

Brennan was trying so hard for her to play with the frog, but she just wouldn't take it.

Aren't they just the cutest?

Amelia was born last night. She's 9 lbs. 9 0z. We sure do make big babies.

Here's Cindy holding Brennan. He did really good being away from us all day, but at the end of it, he was just as tired as Cindy was.

It wasn't until we were about to leave for the night that Brennan finally woke up a bit and wanted to see his sister. He's really excited this morning to go and see her (and his mommy, of course). We'll post some more pictures after today, but we just wanted to get some up quick and let everyone know the good news.

You can check Cindy's and my blog at http://jctwede.blogspot.com to see more picture as we get them.

running my maraton

This is Brent I have decided to contribute to the blog. This morning I ran my second marathon in Ogden. My goal was in finish in 4 hours. Unfortunately that did not happen. I ended up running it in 4 hours and 11 minutes, so I was close to it. I am a little disappointed in that, but I am also way happy to say that I did another marathon and that I finished. My friend that I have been training with for the past 4 months did his marathon in 3 hours and 40 minutes so I am also happy for him. I will try to get some pictures and add them on a later date.

Snug as a Bug

Yesterday I went to the doctor to see if this baby will be joining us anytime soon. She seems prefectly happy where she is and not really working on coming out. The only thing she seems to be working on is her baby fat! Luckily, the doctor is willing to induce me tomorrow morning at 8:00. I like having it planned, so now I can plan! I've got the babysitters all lined up and mom and dad will be here late that night. It's so nice seeing an end to this pregnancy, but then again it's going to be the start of something else that has no end!
So, if all goes well, we'll be parents to a beautiful baby girl in about 24 hours!

For mother's day Brian bought me roses. It was a very thoughtful gesture. Thanks babe for the flowers!!!

Such an Imagination

Today as I was getting ready, Brennan was in our closet playing when he spotted my boots. He proceeded to put them on, then climbed into the corner, stating, "I am a princess and this is my castle." He then pulled a tie off one of my shirts and told me that was his sword, as he was swinging it around, saying, "Hi-Yah!"

After being a half princess-half knight for awhile, he saw my skirts hanging there, so then he wanted to try them on.
Maybe I need to start planning some playdates with some little boys in the neighborhood, so he's not stuck with his mother and soon to be sister all day!

Ring Bearer

Jason's sister Sheryl Lynn is getting married in August (Congrats!) and has asked if Brennan could be a ring bearer for her. So whenever we ask him if he wants to be a ring bearer for Aunt Sheryl Lynn's wedding, his response is always the same, "No, I don't want to be a ring bearer I want to be just Brennan!" It's so funny, I ask him just to here his answer. I'm sure glad he likes being who he is. Hope that never changes! As for being a ring bearer, maybe Kyle has a cute niece that will walk down the isle with him. That might change his mind!
